Insigne doubled the lead at 44 minutes after collecting the ball from the left and skipping past a defender before firing a long-range shot that flew past Thibaut Courtois.
Romelu Lukaku scored a goal for Belgium from the penalty spot right before the break, after Giovanni di Lorenzo had pushed Jeremy Doku to the ground and put his arm around him.
Spain beat Switzerland 3-1 in a penalty shootout. Their battling opponents held on to a 1-1 draw after extra-time despite being down to 10 men.
